The Secrets of Grimoire Manor is Coming!
How to access the book release...
Good morning dear readers:
Alright, as long promised, this site will feature the release of Secrets of Grimoire Manor, a gothic horror YA (young adult) novel I’ve written. The “cover blurb” will appear below.
My plan is this. I’ll release the first chapter which will be freely available on the Ides of March (March 15, 2023). From that point on, all other chapters will be for paid subscribers. So if you like that first chapter, consider switching to paid. I’ll then release a chapter every few days as time allows. The goal is to give you time to read the book and keep the overall subscription under the cost of buying a book (you can, of course, cancel the Substack subscription once you’ve read the book).
As for readership, I think both adults and kids will enjoy it. There are some scary moments in it, so perhaps be cautious about reading it with any easily frightened youngsters. There are ghosts, there is a flamethrower, etc., etc., so let that be your guide.
If you do enjoy it, be sure to pass it along to other potential readers as well. Word of mouth is critical for a modest, if ghoulish, effort such as this one.

Nevine is barely able to settle in before she is mysteriously whisked to the city of Prague in the year 1888. There she is saved from a murderous ghoul by Xanthae Halruaa, an eccentric physicist and ghost-hunter. From Xanthae, Nevine learns the trade of ghost-hunting. Together they work out the secrets of the haunting of Grimoire Manor, the Ghoul of Prague, and the mysterious connections between the two that force Nevine to flip between Grimoire Manor and Prague when she sleeps.
